The awkward moment when post-title don't have anything to do with actual post :O

It's been a very busy weekend for me. Friday I spent at the beach trying to get a tan, but my vampire skin rejected it, and I got burned... But like I'd give up that easily!! Saturday I went yet again to the beach (another one though...) but I didn't get that burned. Guess I'm getting more normal colored :D

It was quite a storm this weekend too. Thunder and lightning all night long. Kind of creepy, but cool at the same time :D

I also went to Faces, an 'etnofestival' that is arranged yearly at a weekend in late July. I only went on Sunday though. It was awesome :D A lot of random people came asking me and my friend questions, but it was fun. This year's bracelet for Sunday was yellow (we sang 'Yellow' by Coldplay too, that was hilarious ^^) last year on Sunday it was orange :)

My dear yellow Faces bracelet. I'm going to keep you on my arm until next year. I hope. We'll see.

Today I went quick shopping with my mother and sister. I bought a shirt and a calendar for school. God, I can't believe school starts in two weeks :( It hasn't even felt that much of a summer yet... I mean now it's really kicking off. Before last week it was mostly rainy an cloudy, but now the sun is shining and torturing and almost not a single cloud in sight. Why wasn't this earlier?? I bet it's going to be like 40 degrees when school starts, just to screw us over. Yep, with my luck...

As many or at least most of you may have noticed, the Olympic Games has started! This year it's in my favorite city; London. Not that I'm that interested in sports, but I had to at least watch the opening ceremony. Many celebrites was in the show; J.K Rowling, Rowan Atkinson, Daniel Craig... Oh, and Voldemort!! :D

But I mostly took it up because of this song; 'Survival' by Muse. It's an official Olympics song. But it wasn't on the soundtrack though, I heard on the radio. I also heard that some people doesn't like it, but I do. That's why I chose it to be a part of today' song. The other one is below ;) Here you go; the first song of today!!

Today's second song is more of a video... That I'm obsessed with at the moment (aside from 'Smile like you mean it' by the Killers, it's still in my head!!). It got uploaded a few days ago, by the 'King of the Web' Paint, aka Jon Cozart. He is actually amazing :DD He also made 'Harry Potter in 99 seconds'. So I think you should check him out. Shoo!! (Kidding, you don't have to.) Here's 'Lord of the Rings in 99 seconds' by Paint! :D

Seems like we passed 42 view of this blog :') I'm so proud *sniff* Oh, for those of you who don't know, 42 is the meaning of life. Period. You can google it. It also has an own emoticon on Facebook; :42: <--- that's how it looks. (God I'm nerding, "move on move on move on" like a mr Stan Shunpike said ;) I seriously need some sleep...)

Helsinki

Moi!!

Today I went to Helsinki with two friends. We shopped in F o r u m and Kamppi, had follow the leader after random strangers, ate food and ice cream (Ben & Jerry's of course ;) ) and just walked around the city.

I bought a top (purple!!!) and a pair of earphones as a birthday gift for another friend (but don't tell her!!!). Yeah I still don't have money...

All day I have had a song in my head, which is going to be today's song; 'Smile Like You Mean It' by The Killers. So I've been singing it from time to time, and listening to it on the train to Helsinki. It's still in my head, so give it up fooor... THE KILLERS!!!

Busy Busy Busy week (I'm so SORRY!!)

Well this is awkward...

Last post was up on Monday... (Or Tuesday, but I count it as Monday) And today is... Sunday. I feel more bad, since I said I'd post more on Tuesday, and I have practically not even turned on the computer.... Fuuu!!

Saturday: Went to my aunt for her name-day. Eat strawberry cake <33 Nom nom!! Yesterday's song will be 'Strawberry Swing' by Coldplay (again, I know... I have a teeny tiny cruch on them okay??)

Today (Sunday): Went to a cafe with a part of the big big family and had an ice-cream. ^^ Then home and do chores and stuff... Today's song will be 'The Ballad of Mona Lisa' by Panic! at the Disco, for no reason at all ^^

Yet another after midnight post

Yo yo yo!!!

Today I've been chilling at my house, reading, playing the Sims 3 and watching movies (Cowboys & Aliens and the Incredibles). And eating cake as usual. Guess I'm a cake-oholic ;)

I don't know what else to write. I know, I'm getting boring, but I'll try to write more tomorrow... (Or later today, if that's how you you see it)

Today's song is a very beautiful song, 'Your Guardian Angel' by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. I can listen to it all day long, and it's really strong emotionally, at least in my opinion ^^

So... it's soon four in the morning here... I really should go to bed earlier... I'll be screwed when school starts :S

Sunday, Bloody Sunday

Ciao!!!

I don't know why I didn't post yesterday... Probably because I wasn't on the computer. Sorry, if it mathers to someone out there!!

I love cake, btw <333 (If you've seen That 70's show, that's more hilarious ;P)

Anyways, today I haven't done much. I woke up at eleven, went for a run, then did normal morning stuff. Then my sister had her friends over, and my parents decided to take my with them to a café, so I tagged along, and I got ice-cream <3 Since then I've been home, reading, eating food, and being on the addiction-machine (aka the computer). I've been chatting on Facebook, if you are REALLY interested in what I do all day long. (I hope not, I don't want any stalkers >.> )

I can't come up with much to say right now :s

So, let's just move on to the song of the day!!! The moment we've been waiting for!! Hurraaaah!!!

Friday the 13th

Hello!! :D

So today is, as you all should know, Friday the 13th. The unlucky day. Well so far I haven't felt any unlucky. I've eaten strawberry's and soon I'll get cake ^^ Because it's my father's birthday today!

(They skipped my house!! Slytherin!!! On Pottermore at least. Gaaaah!! We even won the housecup!!!)            (<----- look! Green!!!)

Any boo, on Wednesday I went to the amusement park, like I said earlier. And yesterday I had to tidy my room, so I had no time to post :/

But today I have a little before any guests arrive ^^ Hihih, YAAAY!!!

So as I'm wondering about what song to do today, I'm looking on my favourite site Youtube!! And I'm looking on my 'history' (or whatever it is in English, I just quickly translated) and about a quarter of the videos there are from Coldplay, a few My Darkest Days songs, a couple of random videos and clips, and the rest is charlieissocoollike videos...

OMG, he's so funny!!! (Feeling like a crazy fangirl....) A friend and I have a few insides about his videos. It started when she came over and we where on Youtube and looking at random videos. Then we clicked on a link to 'My American Accent' and we tried to copy his way of speaking in it. And when it was over, we were laughing. So after a while she said 'Squirrel' and clicked on a random part in the video. And in that exact moment, he said 'Squirrel'. This made us laugh even more, altough it was kind of creepy.

Another moment was when we sat in the car on the way to another friend and talked about the 'squirrel'-incident. We had been seeing more of Charlie's videos after that, and we were quoting them a bit along the way. And at one moment we both looked at each other and said at the exact same time: "This week in 'This week in'".

We laughed all the way to our friend's, and whenever the subject turns up, we still do.

Aah, I love my weird inside jokes with my random friends :') Love you guys!! <3 *RANDOM-POWER!!!*

Now I should go get myself ready in case of any early guests. So today's song will be 'Eyes Wide Open' by Gotye (How do you pronounce his name? Someone tell me!!!) just because I have been repeated it on Youtube today. I still love it though! <3 ^^

Today I haven't done much. Mowed the lawn, paint a few bars and watched Percy Jackson (Luke Castellan <333 He's my prince Charming ^^(and Finnick)).

Tomorrow I'm going to an amusement park (again). This time in Helsinki with a couple of friends. It's going to fun!!! ^^

With that said I probably won't be able to post tomorrow... We'll see.

I don't have much to say today either... I'm getting bad at this :/

Today's song is 'Mr Brightside' by The Killers. Because. It's good, I like his voice, they are realising a new album this year, I like his voice and stuff. Today has been work day for me. I spent a couple of hours at my grandmother's cleaning her windows. Why? I need money. And I also got food and ice cream, so it was okay ^^

Aah, I can't wait! I want to know who's going to play Finnick.  I'm hoping for Jake Abel (the dude who played Luke in Percy Jackson, remember?), but that's just hoping. Wishing. Dreaming. He would be perfect <3

I don't have anything agaist people who wish for Garrett Hedlund, but Alex Pettyfyer? Sorry, but I don't see him. (Keep in mind that this is my personal thought. Otherwise he's a great actor (and good looking), but I don't see him as Finn. Nope.)

So today has been one of my lazy days; I haven't done anything. Anything at all. Period.

Okay, I cleaned my windows, but that's about it...

For the serious things, at least. The rest of the day I've spent reading and watched a movie. Home. Alone. :/

Yeah, I didn't watch Home Alone, I watched Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. And it was awesome. Really. Probably my new favourite. :3

The movie is actually about music, so I'm going to rant about it a little.

The plot:
Scott Pilgrim wants to date Ramona Flowers, but to do that he has to defeat her seven evil exes.

Yaay!! That totally summed up the movie ^^

Oh, and he has a band named Sex Bob-omb. Like a cross over 'Sex Bomb' and the Mario character Bob-omb. I just love that name <3 Makes me feel nerdy :')

The band isn't (wasn't?) that popular, but they play a few gigs in the movie.

The Nerd talks about movies and music, totally boring everyone

Helluu!! ^^

Yeah, it's been a few days... But what can I say? I've been busy.

So, Thursday I went to Tampere to a amusement park. Just walking around and going to the different attractions with my sister. It was really fun ^^ Except when our boat went right into a waterfall...

Friday I had a friend over and then we went to see The Amazing Spider-man. The movie was really good, I can honestly say it was better than the others. That's my opinion anyways. I don't know what you think, but I loved it ^^

I was also surprised when a Coldplay song appeared in the movie. The thing that bothered me was that I knew I had it on an album, but didn't know what the song was called (which is embarrasing since I consider myself a nerd). So I went home to search for it, but none of the titles seemed to fit the song. And I knew exactly how it beginned. So I youtubed it. And the name was 'Til Kingdom Come'. Which made me more confused because I knew I had it somewhere, but I didn't see the title on any album. In the evening before I went to bed, I put on my ancient mp3-player, and guess what? The first song on the list was that song!!! It is always played first when I shuffle the songs, because it's the first in the alphabet, since it's called '+'. No wonder I didn't recognise the title, partly because it is a bonus song and isn't listed, partly because it had another name. Still I feel a little stupid...

Today I went shopping... again. Yeah, I didn't buy much today either. But I went to see Men in Black 3 also. Another good movie as well ;)

That means I've seen three movies at the cinema this week... Wow, I really feel like a nerd. But I like cinemas. They are nice and cozy. It would be cool to live in a cinema, eating popcorn and candy all day long. Ugh, I would get fat... Well, fatter.

I don't know what song feel like today, so I'm going to put up a song that I like for some reason. Today it's 'You Gave Me Nothing' by Mark Ronson & the Business International. It sounds a bit from the 80's. Or so I've heard from my parents. And someone on Youtube that commented that it would be a hit in the 80's.

This song has no real reason in my life, but I like it. So it'll have to do. And you did get 'Til Kindom Come' (or '+' that it is called on the album/my ancient mp3-player). So it will make up for the missed days. Maybe? I hope so!!

Sunglasses

Ola!! :D

Today I woke up at 10 am, that is really early for me in summers. If nobody wakes me up, I could be asleep until three in the afternoon... Not that good, huh. I mean, at schooldays I had to wake up at seven in the morning, so had time to shower before school, but in autumn (or fall, if that's how you say it) I start in a new school, where school usually starts at eight in the morning... Arrgh!!

Any hoo, I went shopping today with a few friends, and all I bought was a pair of sunglasses (they are yellow!!). Of course I didn't have that much money with me, since I'm practically poor. But I usually I buy more than that anyways... So I'm a little disappointed in myself, but a little happy too; now I have a couple of euros for other stuff this summer! Woopiedoo!! ^^

And I didn't find Absolution either... *sigh*

I decided to dedicate today's song to my new sunglasses. Welcome to the family, new guy. Hope the other sunglasses let you be friends with them! (You'll never know!!)

New Records

Hello there!! :D

So I went to the cinema today. To see Ice Age 4.

Yes, I'm 16 and I like movies for children.

Eh, who am I kidding... I LOVE them!! Well, many of them, at least...

Anyways, the movie was really good, you should just go away and see it. Hop hop!!




What I was going to say was, that before the movie started, I went shopping with my family. So while my mother and sister were looking for shoes, me and my father went looking for records.

And this resulted in me buying CDs. Three to be exact.

Coldplay - Parachutes
Muse - Showbiz
Muse - Origin of Symmetry

Yes, only older ones. From the beginning of this millenia. Or Showbiz is actually from 1999, but it's close... Right?

And I just realized that both Muse and Coldplay are two quite famous bands from the UK...

From my little shopping spree, I now have all Coldplay albums, and all muse albums except Absolution (which I'm still searching for!).

So today's song is 'Feeling Good' by Muse. It is actually a cover, the original being on a musical and sung by Cy Grant. This cover was actually voted the best cover of all time in 2010, which I think is amazing!

So with that, I'm leaving you here. Woah! It's past one again?? I really should begin to go to sleep a little earlier.... Nah, just a few more hours ;)

Presentation and stuff

Hello there, little one!! Yes, I'm speaking to you. Well, it's nice to see you found your way here!! :D heheh...

Well... Let's get started!

On this particular blog I'm planning to present a song every day (we'll see if i can make that happen). This song, as you can see in the description, could be a song that I think suits in my life at the moment. Or it could be a song that I somehow find amusing or sad, or any other feeling that might exist in this world. Or it could be a song that I just like. Dot.  (Or love, but I didn't say that.)

My taste in music is... variating. I like a lot of different stiles, like pop, punk, rock, alternative, any of those combined, and I've even found myself listening to classical music.

Classical music, you might say. That's only for old and/or boring people.

Well, that's what I thought not so long ago. (And I have to point out that I am 16... I can't say if I'm boring or not, you'll have to figure it out yourself!) But as you may have realized is that a  lot of movies have some sort of classical soundtracks. I myself like to listen to soundtracks. They can be calming and soothing, or building up the battlescene.

Yeah, I'm not going to rant about that all day today... Or tonight, since it's past twelve here... Or past one to be more exact...

But as I've said before, I hope that I can put up a song every day, but that might not for some reason not happen. But I swear on my own feet, I'll try at least. It's the best I can do. So I'm trying.

My name here is Cherry, and I'm from the little nordic land called Finland. (Yeah, not so exotic...) The songs I present can be old, new, weird, good, bad or really really random. But in my defence, I have a really weird taste in music. I mean, my own parents laugh at me sometimes. But I'm okay with it, because I couldn't stand life without music! Or food.... I love food... But that's not what this is about, so that's another story.
