Christmas song Masterpost!!

And it's time for another masterpost by this girl... This time the theme is Christmas songs!!

I've always had a soft spot for Christmas and Christmas songs. So I thought I might as well share some of my favorite songs to listen to at Christmas. 

Train - Shake Up Christmas 

This song was featured in a Coke ad, and it's pretty happy. I really like this song, it makes me happy and giddy and stuff.

Weezer - The Christmas Song

Now this song is more depressive, but I like it too... it is Weezer. 

Coldplay - Christmas Lights

This song started playing in a shoestore last week when I was shopping. And it's funny, because I don't think I've heard it in the rado before, only online and at home. But this song is really nice and beautiful and I like Coldplay really much (if you didn't know...)

Futurama

Yes... I like Futurama's X-mas songs, they are really funny and creative. My sister and I always sing this song when we have very much Christmas spirit.

The Killers

The Killers usually make a Christmas song every year, and I think I posted Don't Shoot Me Santa earlier. So this is this year's Christmas song by The Killers. It's the same Santa as in DSMS, and I only discovered it today, but I already like it. Here you go; I Feel It In My Bones.

Mika - Let it Snow

This version of Let it Snow is really relaxing, and I really like the guitar in it, and Mika is awesome as ever. (Dedicated to my friend the Patster).

Fall Out Boy - Yule Shoot Your Eye Out

This song is very ironic. But I still like how happy it seems if you don't listen to the lyrics. But the lyrics are maybe even hateful... O.o But it's still a nice song!

I think that'll be enough Christmas for now...

Hello!

Right now I'm sitting in my school's "auditorium" and have nothing to do. The school is having a concert on Thursday, and I'm singing a couple of songs with my group. My group are playing country this time, 'Every Little Thing' and 'Nine To Five' to be more precise. Everybody is really good at these rehearsals, a little more training, and it'll be perfect :)

So this is my 42nd post. As you may or may not know, 42 is the meaning of life. If you don't know, I haven't ranted about this enough...

For those who doesn't know:

A long long time ago, there were some people who were very smart, and they were wondering what the meaning of life was. So they built a computer to calculate the answer. The computer (called Deap Thought) told them to give itsome time, and come back in a million years.

So the people came back a million years later, and the computer gave them the answer: 42. The people weren't happy with that answer, but tyhe computer explained that they hadn't given it a proper question, so it built them another computer to calculate the question for them.

That computer was called Earth, and unfortunatly, it got blown up just before it was ready.

A little background story! I'm pretty sure it's not like it should be, I missed a couple of details, but for the real story, read The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy - series. They are really good, so hop hop!

I WANT CANDY!!

It's been a while, but I had an overnight-thingy with the school, and I got home yesterday and fell asleep on the couch. Then I had to get up and get to dance-class.

I might get my paddie next week! :D

Oh Rainy Day come out

Hey!!

Today I'm keeping it short.

I have to find a new song to hate, since my friend took the one I was suppose to present as my least favorite :/ So now I've got to find a song I like and a song I hate...

Today was otherwise okay, a little bit to rainy, I had to drive to school in the rain :'(

So today's song will be 'Rainy Day' by Coldplay. It's a lovely song about rain, and it's really beautiful. I sing it every time it rains. I could mayhaps play this as my favorite... Mayhaps ;) ENJOY!!

Busy Busy Busy week (I'm so SORRY!!)

Hello!!

Well this is awkward...

Last post was up on Monday... (Or Tuesday, but I count it as Monday) And today is... Sunday. I feel more bad, since I said I'd post more on Tuesday, and I have practically not even turned on the computer.... Fuuu!!

So to be really nice, I'll post a song for every lost day. Okay? *Nobody Cares* Well I do!!


Recap of the week:

Tuesday: Nothing. Eat. Watch TV. (I don't really remember) Oh, right!! I rewatched Scott Pilgrim!! Tuesday's song... eer... 'Don't Panic' by Coldplay.

Wednesday: Glee Marathon :D And eating loads of strawberries with ice-cream <33 yummy!! Wednesday's song is 'Umbrella/Singing In The Rain' by the Glee cast.

Thursday: Ummm... Eat. Watch some movie. Basic stuff. Thursday's song is 'The Anthem' by Good Charlotte.



Friday: A little shopping and then Disney Marathon!!! :D With a couple of friends ^^ We watched the Lionking, the Lionking 2, Tarzan and the Emperor's new Groove (OMG Kronk <33) Friday's song is 'Strangers Like Me' by Phil Collins.

Saturday: Went to my aunt for her name-day. Eat strawberry cake <33 Nom nom!! Yesterday's song will be 'Strawberry Swing' by Coldplay (again, I know... I have a teeny tiny cruch on them okay??)

Today (Sunday): Went to a cafe with a part of the big big family and had an ice-cream. ^^ Then home and do chores and stuff... Today's song will be 'The Ballad of Mona Lisa' by Panic! at the Disco, for no reason at all ^^

The Nerd talks about movies and music, totally boring everyone

Helluu!! ^^

Yeah, it's been a few days... But what can I say? I've been busy.

So, Thursday I went to Tampere to a amusement park. Just walking around and going to the different attractions with my sister. It was really fun ^^ Except when our boat went right into a waterfall...

Friday I had a friend over and then we went to see The Amazing Spider-man. The movie was really good, I can honestly say it was better than the others. That's my opinion anyways. I don't know what you think, but I loved it ^^

I was also surprised when a Coldplay song appeared in the movie. The thing that bothered me was that I knew I had it on an album, but didn't know what the song was called (which is embarrasing since I consider myself a nerd). So I went home to search for it, but none of the titles seemed to fit the song. And I knew exactly how it beginned. So I youtubed it. And the name was 'Til Kingdom Come'. Which made me more confused because I knew I had it somewhere, but I didn't see the title on any album. In the evening before I went to bed, I put on my ancient mp3-player, and guess what? The first song on the list was that song!!! It is always played first when I shuffle the songs, because it's the first in the alphabet, since it's called '+'. No wonder I didn't recognise the title, partly because it is a bonus song and isn't listed, partly because it had another name. Still I feel a little stupid...

Today I went shopping... again. Yeah, I didn't buy much today either. But I went to see Men in Black 3 also. Another good movie as well ;)

That means I've seen three movies at the cinema this week... Wow, I really feel like a nerd. But I like cinemas. They are nice and cozy. It would be cool to live in a cinema, eating popcorn and candy all day long. Ugh, I would get fat... Well, fatter.

I don't know what song feel like today, so I'm going to put up a song that I like for some reason. Today it's 'You Gave Me Nothing' by Mark Ronson & the Business International. It sounds a bit from the 80's. Or so I've heard from my parents. And someone on Youtube that commented that it would be a hit in the 80's.

This song has no real reason in my life, but I like it. So it'll have to do. And you did get 'Til Kindom Come' (or '+' that it is called on the album/my ancient mp3-player). So it will make up for the missed days. Maybe? I hope so!!

Well, I guess this is it for today, I hope I have time to post tomorrow, or I'll never forgive myself :/

Sunglasses

Ola!! :D

Today I woke up at 10 am, that is really early for me in summers. If nobody wakes me up, I could be asleep until three in the afternoon... Not that good, huh. I mean, at schooldays I had to wake up at seven in the morning, so had time to shower before school, but in autumn (or fall, if that's how you say it) I start in a new school, where school usually starts at eight in the morning... Arrgh!!

Any hoo, I went shopping today with a few friends, and all I bought was a pair of sunglasses (they are yellow!!). Of course I didn't have that much money with me, since I'm practically poor. But I usually I buy more than that anyways... So I'm a little disappointed in myself, but a little happy too; now I have a couple of euros for other stuff this summer! Woopiedoo!! ^^

And I didn't find Absolution either... *sigh*

I decided to dedicate today's song to my new sunglasses. Welcome to the family, new guy. Hope the other sunglasses let you be friends with them! (You'll never know!!)

Sooo... Today's song is 'Yellow' by Coldplay. (Guess you didn't see that one coming ;) ) Enjoy!!

(Okay, this was really creepy!!! Just when I wrote that the song was 'Yellow', that exact song came on my playlist! :O I'm still a little freaked out...)

I'm sorry that I've only had a little older songs on here, but they seemed to fit... Hopefully I can put some newer songs soon, we'll see...

New Records

Hello there!! :D

So I went to the cinema today. To see Ice Age 4.

Yes, I'm 16 and I like movies for children.

Eh, who am I kidding... I LOVE them!! Well, many of them, at least...

Anyways, the movie was really good, you should just go away and see it. Hop hop!!




What I was going to say was, that before the movie started, I went shopping with my family. So while my mother and sister were looking for shoes, me and my father went looking for records.

And this resulted in me buying CDs. Three to be exact.

Coldplay - Parachutes
Muse - Showbiz
Muse - Origin of Symmetry

Yes, only older ones. From the beginning of this millenia. Or Showbiz is actually from 1999, but it's close... Right?

And I just realized that both Muse and Coldplay are two quite famous bands from the UK...

From my little shopping spree, I now have all Coldplay albums, and all muse albums except Absolution (which I'm still searching for!).

So today's song is 'Feeling Good' by Muse. It is actually a cover, the original being on a musical and sung by Cy Grant. This cover was actually voted the best cover of all time in 2010, which I think is amazing!

So with that, I'm leaving you here. Woah! It's past one again?? I really should begin to go to sleep a little earlier.... Nah, just a few more hours ;)
